PRODUCT DESIGN & FABRICATION
Phone Holder Design Project
Course: Graphics for Design/Manufacture · Lewisburg, PA
January 2026 – May 2026
I designed, modeled, and assembled a custom smartphone holder for my Graphics for Design/Manufacture course. SOLIDWORKS modeling supported universal device compatibility, while DFM principles shaped the geometry for 3D printing and fabrication.

Project overview
For my Graphics for Design/Manufacture course, I took a custom smartphone holder from initial design through SOLIDWORKS modeling and assembly. The design targeted universal device compatibility, with part geometry refined for 3D printing and fabrication using Design for Manufacturing principles. The assembled and exploded CAD views show the support structure, phone cradle, and ball-and-socket connection between them.
